Perpetual wanderlust has taken me round the globe. However, I return magnetically after each adventure to my home of Santa Cruz, California, a bottomless well of natural beauty, woodland and marine creatures, real and imagined, redwood faery rings, and her populace of creators, tinkerers, kooks, and free spirits.

I earned a Master of Education in Literacy and Language Development. Only after 12 years as a classroom teacher, did I grok that my skills and inclination could serve to propel youngsters towards adulthood and the possibilities of a freely imagined life.

I now spend my days writing and illustrating children’s books and helping commercial clients hone, articulate, and project their messages through ink, watercolor, and digital media.

When I am not creating art, you can find me propped up at the piano, in the garden, the kitchen, at the beach, or in the world of wine. All avenues I would like to think might be crucibles of creation for anyone.
